'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?'
Now this is going to be a bit personal, but also an open challenge for you to consider and hopefully implement into your life as you see the benefits it brings.
Self reflection is often ignored or looked at sheepishly. I want to focus on this, and pose the challenge to you on this subject. Look back, spend 10 minutes a day locked away from screens, phones and all distractions and take the time to self reflect.
It's important to remember, we grow from self reflection, it's a period where you can look back at how far you've come, even where we could have done better and there's no shame in that fact. As long as we understand to grow from this, it builds our self confidence and develops our motivation to continue towards our future goals!
This could sound complicated or simple.. but I believe that this is a simple task, that can build us tenfold in confidence and desire, especially once you have done it a few times. To remember that when looking back, we can recognise the growth, even in failures we might observe 'I didn't do this very well that day..' now grow from it or recognise you've already come so far that your standards have raised!
From my own experiences of this, I truly find that it boosts self motivation and growth, creating that passion of 'I've come so far.. but let's keep going and see how far I can go!'. To look back on things now, while I sit here and write this blog I can already tell you the growth I've had, from a shy, quiet boy to be blogging, passing on snippets of my life onto the worldwide web to hopefully help you and others to grow, to inspire you to action and tell you that you're doing great, reflect and understand that and interpret it to continue your trigger to greatness.
So I challenge you to self reflect and see how far you've grown already.. Be the beacon of light to others..
